- About encoding special characters
- This option converts Japanese characters, symbols, and other special characters into a format that can be safely used in web pages and QR codes.
- Example: “Hello & ありがとう” → “Hello%20%26%20%E3%81%82%E3%82%8A%E3%81%8C%E3%81%A8%E3%81%86”
- Use this when your QR code contains messages, queries, or other content with special characters.
- ⚠ Do not apply this to entire regular URLs (e.g., https://example.com). It may prevent the QR code from functioning correctly.

- The number of characters a QR code can hold varies depending on the character type and error correction level.
- Smartphones and PCs generally use UTF-8 encoding. Older devices may require Shift_JIS, but unless specified otherwise, UTF-8 is recommended.
- The error correction level typically defaults to "M" (about 15% error recovery), but it can be adjusted based on your needs.
- Too much input data may cause difficulties in generating or scanning the QR code. Please be cautious.
- If the contrast between the background color and the QR code is low, scanning may fail.
